Technically any request for a haircut is because it's too long. I brought my son to get a haircut expecting to pay the $30 listed price. Was his hair actually long, No. I paid the $40 the barber requested, knowing that it wasn't worth the argument. To give you a picture, think 1964 Beatles not the psychedelic era Beatles.
