What a shame! Dr Viz has treated our whole family’s pets and animals since I was in middle school. From pet snakes to livestock to our cats and dogs. Roughly 30 years or longer. Until we encountered his staff member Estelle! We have large breed elderly dog named Zoe. On a past visit brought her in for a check up on some skin irritation she was. Good Vet Dr. Viz is a good vet. he gave my puppy all his vacinations with no problems. I even got somethings I didn't ask for! He is now on heartworm prevention.
Two My second kitten just died at his office with no explanation. The first was admittedly ill, but had been revived at an emergency vet the evening before. After staying with him she suffered a heart attack and was not able to be revived. Fast forward three years, I had my kitten declawed this morning, she came out of anesthesia just fine and hours later could not be revived. The first time was forgiveable, but twice, I am highly suspicious of his practice.
TERRIBLE Terrible vet. I live in Augusta where my dog was hit by a car and her foot was "degloved". She was getting daily bandages changes and it was healing very nicely so they gave us the okay to travel. Her foot was starting to form new tissue already and no longer bleeding. While on leave we brought her to broadway just to change bandages (now being done every 3 days), when we took her to remove the bandage that he put on not only was he very rough and unprofessional, having me hold her as he tore the bandage off with he... read more
Horrible The doctor seems to be half way knowledgeable. The blonde girl at the desk is rude, uncaring no professional courtesy. She seems to run things and the doctor has no say in the unethical behavior she exhibits. It is all about her rules.I had a cat die there. next time I was in, Very cold. and never said sorry for your loss. Just about the money. Dr. Viz is great We have been going to Dr. Viz for about 2 years now and really like him. He's an old school country vet. We had been using a different vet in Oviedo and our cocker spaniel developed a bad ear infection. $1100 our dog still had an ear infection. I switched to Dr. Viz who was shocked the other vet had not cultured the bacteria in our dog's ears. He did a culture and found out the bacteria was resistent to all the antibiotics the other vet has prescribed. He made up an antibiotic solution for his ears and the i... read more
a great place The folks at Broadway have been taking excellent care of my precious cocker spaniel "Andi" for many years. The service and care they have extended have been outstanding. The vet is a truly geat guy. His passion for his profession shows through at every visit. A great place for boarding too.
Be careful. Be cautious. He is quite rough, and boarding is not recommended, in my opinion. I do not think he likes cats at all. He may have been once a fine vet, but something has changed. The last time I was there, he was so aggressive that my dog was frightened of his approach. The back boarding I've heard is not watched very carefully. Be careful.
Poor Health Certificate This doctor issued health certificates to a breeder who was allowed to vaccinate the pups themselves. They did not give all the vaccines or any tests that are required by the State of Florida but signed off on the certificates as healthy pets. This pup was sold and was found to have intestinal parasites and ear mites; all which they were to found free of. Poor professionalism.
