This is an updated review: We actually had to leave our lease early because the place become uninhabitable. When the tenants upstairs, from us had moved out, construction workers were doing an entire takedown and revamp of the place, By not following code. We were inhaling extreme amounts of direct deadly, toxic, and dangerous fumes and all we kept asking the office was if they could open a window, even though they just weren’t following code at all, thus putting other tenants in danger knowingly, and they kept refusing. We have loved living here for nearly 2 years now. The units are comfortable and spacious, the outdoor spaces are well maintained but the best thing about the Brittany is the staff! Everyone is super helpful!!! The response time to any question or request is always immediate. The maintenance team is the best I’ve ever seen! We haven’t needed them often, but the couple times we needed them they arrived at our door in under 10 minutes. I just moved in 2 weeks ago and while the price seemed a little high it was 100% worth it! I moved here from out of state and they made the application process super easy and it’s very quick. They accommodated my needs due to the odd timing I would arriving. I was pleased to find all new appliances (washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, etc), fresh paint, clean new carpet. You absolutely do not want to live here. Northland Investment Company, the owner of this property and several others in Florida, is unethical and probably breaking laws if there were any laws protecting renters in Florida.They rent-gouge, they collaborate with price-fixers like SmartRent who have been charged and found guilty of price-fixing across the country. If I could give The Brittany Apartments zero stars, I would. I paid more than $3,000 to break my lease because living there had become completely unacceptable. From the day I moved in, the apartment felt poorly maintained and hastily thrown together. The window locks were broken, and the temporary “trick” I was shown to lock them still left one window unusable. For weeks I couldn’t lock my bedroom window and being a single woman I was terrified.
