They have the apartments looking good from the main road to get customers but in the back the apartments are awful. The roof need repairing, the shingles have fallen off some of the windows, the environment has big holes in the ground where a bush or tree has been planted which is hazardous, the ceiling leaks and they take their time fixing it, and they treat their tenants like dirt. This from a long term tenant. If you work hard for your money and are OK with giving it to an absolutely incompetent absolute slumlord, this is the place for you. The worst tenements in the city (any city) is better than this. Thing is, it was not always this way. Now, there is not a proper working extior lock (one door has been broken/non-functional) for five (5) years. The other two barely qualify as functional. Harvest property in Ellington, meadow brook road is one place you want to think before applying to rent! Slow snow removal, maintenance take their time or never show up , they wil charge interest on late fees if your payment goes in late and instead of one time late fee, they will put interest n double interest on your balance due and if you move out getting your security deposit will be difficult! If your apartment have mold or no hot water, good luck if they show up especially if you’re month to month !
I live in the Berkshire Mills owned by this company. The worst place to live, poorly maintained. water problems, plumbing, heat, cooling, drains and the list goes on. everything is botched and slapped with a band aid, the rent rates are horrible for saying this building has never been updated since the day it opened. When I put in the application for this complex I really thought I was applying for a quality apartment...SO FAR FROM THE TRUTH! I've been living here for almost 6 months and I HATE IT! Something breaks in this apartment every single month, normally right after I pay my rent. The office staff takes their time to put in work orders and the maintenance staff take even LONGER to make the repairs.
