I have had horrible experiences with ADT and Vivint. I just paid Safe Haven the authorized service provider for ADT $1784 for trash equipment which malfunctioned in 2 weeks. I had my foot so far up my tush figuratively I could chew on it! I went back to Brinks. The brand has been gone awhile but, it's returned. Scheduling a new install was a ways out. Went with them 2 years ago to replace ADT, which was terrible. Install actually went well. Everything went downhill after that. No call answered on weekends or after 10pm. Waited three weeks for tech appointment when cameras stopped working. AI phone answer no help. Now they say no tech support in my area. They offered to send equip for me to install myself. If I am going to do that I can get cheaper, better equipment! Do not deal with this company!
I bought a new house Nov 2024. No call no show to install my new equipment at new house. They took money from me for 16 months and I can’t even use the service! They said your contract isn’t up until November 2026. Even tho they know nobody came Out to install at my new house they don’t cere. I have to pay for two years of service I can’t even use! Over $1,300 total in the toilet over two years time. Stay far away from brinks home security!
Brinks was really fradulent because they locked me in a contract and would not let me out of it. My system was falling apart and I found a better one and they would not let me out of the contract which was 3 years. 36 month. Now I see others reviews and have heard of other homeowners that Brinks just won't let homeowners out of the contract no matter how much they try to cancel
I signed up for Brinks Home Security and scheduled an appointment for the home installation. It took about four weeks before someone finally came to install the system. The installer was given a tour of our property, and I pointed out the existing places for cameras, which we had pre-wired. He confirmed he understood where we wanted the cameras installed.
