We spent $10K on a property for 12 of us to stay Thanksgiving. The host called at 9pm, the evening prior to check in and flippantly cancelled our reservation. He claimed the house was uninhabitable due to a septic issue that would require drilling through the floors, costing them $20K+ to repair. It was just not believable. We booked a rental in Mars Hill through this company. The listing said the rental was air conditioned and it was not. No fans in the bedrooms to circulate the air either. Issues with iron, amenities (no access as promised), dryer- had to clear the lint from the outside because it wasn't drying, dishwasher not level so rack flew out upon opening and security issue. Highly inconsiderate, poor communication, would not recommend. Please be weary. This host informed us two days before check in that our booking had been sold and we were no longer able to stay in this location after having it booked for MONTHS. They offered us a much smaller location, which was listed for hundreds less than what we paid and told us "there would be no additional charges." The space they offered didn't provide the same amenities, nor enough space for everyone in our group. This all seems highly suspicious sinc... read more
