My father was recently cared for by Bright Haven at his Assisted Living Facility. His caregiver, Mel Ramirez, is the kindest, sweetest human being with a HUGE heart. She cared for my Dad like she knew him forever and he loved her. He would give her a kiss on her cheek and would also make her laugh. She was gentle, yet firm when she needed to make sure he had some food in his belly. Mel was also kind to my brother and me - treating us so incredibly compassionately. We worked with Bright Haven to keep my father home with comfort and dignity while dying from a horrible disease. They were so understanding, nice, professional, and responsive, that I highly recommend them. They are not as big as the better known companies, and in that way, the provide a more personal care which includes "no call centers." You call and talk with an RN directly.
