I have a degenerative disease so surgery is often necessary, always a risk. I’ve seen many orthos-two of them good, the other 8 or so more like construction workers. Estok may be competent-time will tell. I’m not completely sure he’s human, though, even if he teaches at Harvard and is trailed by a bevy of Fellows. He never explained the surgery to me, saw me briefly as I was discharged (a perfectly horrifying hospital stay btw). I have had an excellent experience with Dr Estock over a complicated hip and infection problem. From the beginning, he has been direct and honest in his descriptions of risks and benefits. This has helped me make informed choices. I have total confidence in his surgical skill. Iconsider anyone who has him as their surgeon to be fortunate indeed.
Dr. Estok is an excellent doctor, with the hands of a craftsman, he saved my left knee when the chances of the surgery being successful at such a level were slim, he acted with great knowledge.
