The worst experience at the worst time for a family member having a illness

Business response:

Hi Jim, I’m very sorry to hear about your experience at the Brigham. If you would like to send an email to ptrelations@partners.org, a member of our Patient and Family Relations team can assist you. Thank you.

We just said goodbye to my brother-in-law and while the entire family was grieving the person who checked us in - and we told him our person was being taken off life support- he stood up said “back up I have to do my job and not lose my job.” Then picked up the phone and loudly complained about us for 10 minutes to who knows who. Then when he finally and begrudgingly gave us the go ahead he sent us to the wrong department. It may be a good hospital but the people who work their do not know the meaning of the word compassion.

This hospital is racist! If you are not the right color, they intend on implementing policies that will give you less care or no care. Please avoid at all costs!

Business response:

We are committed to ensuring that all patients receive safe, compassionate and high-quality care. The proposed pilot program would identify opportunities to improve access for heart failure patients who need specialized cardiology care, and is not intended to diminish the high quality of care our white patients — or any other patients — continue to receive. You should be ashamed of yourselves care based on skin color is inhuman!!! I hope this hospital gets shut down! Care should be given on severity and need, not on skin color we are all human!

Go to a racist hospital? No thanks. They think certain races should be given preferential treatment. This place will be out of business soon if they actually follow through on this. All those employees will lose their jobs, homes, vehicles, and God knows what else.

Stop being racist. Openly racist policies against white people are repugnant.
