I was seen in the hospital’s autonomic department back in January. Prior to arrival I requested all the medical diagnostic codes for any procedures that were going to be done so I could ensure that they were covered by insurance. I showed up at the appointment and told the technician that all procedures could be done except the three not covered by insurance. I am so fed up with this hospital, I have been seeing a neurologist over at headache center. She was always a poor physician, telling me things like I have patient’s worse off then you, Really downplaying my pain and making it seem like I am lying or something. I had neck surgery in February. I have never been to a hospital where EVERYONE was so nice. The health care workers were so caring. I highly recommend this hospital. Dr Zampini is awesome.
How about a pre-surgery waiting room fit for human beings?A small airless crowded room for people waiting for surgery that haven't eaten or had anything to drink is unacceptable under any circumstances never mind in this corona virus situation. The only option was to stand in the hallway. The front desk informed us we could sit in the lobby but would risk not knowing when they were ready for us. You should be ABSOLUTELY ashamed of yourselves!! The price gauging I saw on my husband's recent day surgery bill is OUT OF CONTROL! $17K for just the operating room? $700 for 1 hr of recovery room services where he was served a piece of toast and ginger ale and then was pushed out after an hour? $110 for 2 pills, when I could get them at CVS for $5?? Furthermore, I called you billing to see if I could negotiate a discount for paying the surgery in full and REFUSED. Said "this hospital doesn't offer that" but you offer financ... read more
