This place is a true gem among gems. I was unfortunately homeless at one point in my life and my social worker connected me with this organization. I was given a warm bed to sleep in, hot delicious food, and a safe environment to decompress from life's hardships. They provide support groups two times a day and the staff is extremely kind and caring. Case management is provided here as well. I used to think that this place was great. But the very last time that I went, I had just had a baby and she was in the NICU, dying, so I had to get permission to go see her because it usually had to be during group time. When I talked to Sheldon, one of the counselors/case workers there, he gave me a really hard time about going, but then eventually said that it was ok, as long as I call the hospital and give him proof that that is where I am going.
