That's true about friendly and helpful staffs, Ms Aleta an Hana gave me some suggestions about where to go and way of transportation.
Although I booked last minute in mid-September and price was a bit steep at nearly $400 for two nights and with no breakfast (season was over), it's a very clean hotel based on the room we stayed in for 2 nights. Our room was on the smaller side, but very cozy, warm and cute for those chilly Fairbanks nights. Room has a fridge and window opens to breathe in some of that crispy Alaska air. Walking distance to downtown. Would not hesitate to stay again!
The airport shuttle service was completely unacceptable. We scheduled the hotel shuttle to take us to the airport, but even 25 minutes after the agreed pickup time, the shuttle still had not arrived. What was even more frustrating was that no one contacted us or gave us any update about the delay. Because we had a flight to catch, we simply could not risk waiting any longer and had to call an Uber and get to the airport on our own. Asked for room to be cleaned after 3 or 4 days. Upon return to room later that day, found out door had been left open all day. Luckily nothing was missing. Wifi is very spotty. Only way to guarantee reception was to go down to the lobby. One desk manager was quite rude. Air is a window unit so when you run it you have to leave curtain open which would be ok , except we were on the first floor! Parking lot is extremely small-maybe 20 spots for a multi-story building.
