I had so much fun trying on dresses at the Brides for a Cause Portland location in June! The women who work there were very kind and clearly enjoy their jobs. They were so helpful, leading us straight to the correct size sections, were giving me compliments and showed excitement for all the women trying on dresses. The selection at this location is pretty impressive, considering their small location size. It was my second day going dress shopping , and i was really unsure as a plus size girly if there were going to be a variety of dresses in my size. But I found the one with Paris's help and just bawled like a baby once I stood on the podium in the light . She was amazing and the absolute sweetest. She took pictures for me and help me video chat with my sister in florida because i was by myself. Absolute 10/10 experience and I got a beautiful dress. Amazing experience at Brides for a Cause. My daughter had the first appointment of the day. We were paired with Wanda who guided us through the whole process explaining that my daughter could try on 5 dresses at a time. She was given a large changing room and I had lots of space just outside to sit. Mirrors everywhere! My daughter fell in love with the first dress she tried on. Got my dress here! Love my dress! It cost a lot more than I expected for this kind of bridal shop though - where all the dresses are donated and you don't have an associate helping you or a private dressing room. My dress was $950 so beware! When I asked the associates to come down slightly in price, they stood firm. I was curious about where the funds go, and the woman was a bit unclear and scattered. Talking about how "they'd" be mad if they went down in price. It was odd. It put a sour end to a fun day unfortunately.
