I have gone to The Brick now for almost 20 years. I was a Foodie at one time, so I would eat out very often, as well as take clients out. Let me first say that for a restaurant to consistently receive the reviews that The Brick gets, over that length of time is Amazing. Great location in Avondale. Cool atmosphere. Excellent service. Nice Place We stopped here for dinner one evening while on vacation and had a great meal. The waitress was exceptional and the food was hot and delicious. There was something on the menu that we all liked, including the kids. I would recommend this to travellers and locals.
Horribly inconsistent food and service! – I've been to this restaurant many times as it is one of the few brunch spots near my church. 2 notable things...1) my food has never come out right the first time and 2) there are some excellent servers and some that clearly came from McDonald's
THE PERFECT SPOT – It had been many years since I visited Jacksonville, FL and I reunited with my oldest son and his family (a group of six)... Great bar/restaurant with good food, excellent service and the best veggie burger I've ever had! – When I moved down to Jacksonville from New York City, I hoped to avoid the chains, so I was pleased to find the Brick. The crab cakes are delicious (more crab, less filling), so is the tuna tartar, and for vegetarians, they have the best veggie burger I have ever had.
