I saw her last August but I was at the Gastro group in Palm Beach Gardens. She spent two minutes with me and said how am I supposed to know what’s wrong with you unless I see inside. I never got any feedback she told me to take anti diarrhea medicine the hospital and every other G.I. doctor that I saw said shouldn’t have taken it because I had a clone recession. She could’ve killed me dumb dr. She should have her license revoked. She also lied and said she spent 45 minutes with me which I just saw today. She spent two minute... read more

I was referred to Charlotte Gastroenterology & Hepatology by my primary care physician for a colonoscopy consultation. Upon entering the room, Dr. Hatara could not have appeared to be more disinterested, cold, and bothered. My consultation lasted approx. 5 minutes - during which she looked up from her laptop only a handful of times. Before I could even finish a sentence, I was met with a lot of 'mhmms' and 'yeahs' - again, I felt like there was complete and total lack of any sort of genuine care or concern - completely rushe... read more

After reading some of the reviews I thought my experience might be useful.I had cataracts in both eyes, surgery a year apart. The procedure was fully explained, recovery laid out, followed by me. I opted for distance lenses as I am outdoor oriented, achieved excellent distance vision and depth perception.I found Brian competent and engaging. No issues at all...

My cataract surgery with Dr. Desmond was a disaster. At my post-op appt, I heard, 'Unfortunately, the outcome was not as we'd hoped.' I'd always had great distance vision in both eyes and now I didn't. He felt confident he could create a monovision result with the other eye and all would be great. Before surgery I only needed reading glasses; after surgery, I needed distance and reading ones. Progressive lenses didn't work for me so I tried juggling two pairs. Too awkward, so next week I am going in for bifocals. He is a nic... read more

Dr Hatara did a colonoscopy on me years ago when she was in Bend, OR. I have a decades old Brown Sequard Syndrome spinal cord injury, which causes bowel and bladder problems. The two colonoscopies I had after the injury went without incident before moving to Bend. After the second procedure the doctor told me to be sure and have an aggressive prep procedure, so I was fully cleaned out. When I made the appointment with Dr Hatara, I told her staff of my problem. The prep procedure she ordered appeared to be the basic prep, whi... read more

I had my first appt with Dr. Desmond yesterday and found him to be a great listener, he fully explained my issue and recommendations for treatments/surgery. My left eye is a double whammy with a bleeding retina and cataract so (to me) may present a challenge. I have separate surgeries scheduled with him for my cataracts in the next few weeks. Looking forward to a clearer future!

My husband & I have been Dr Desmond's patients for 22 Yrs. Both of us have had cataract surgery with inter-ocular lenses. We've had 2020 vision postoperatively. Dr. Desmond not only had the foresight and the knowledge to recommend the specific lenses that would afford us to be spectacle free. We have always applauded him for his professionalism, his bedside manner his surgical aptitude and his explanation of the results of an eye exam.

Had surgery with him. Next day had follow up appointment which he told me I had a scratched cornea but offered NO explanation as to how that accrued. I was unable to see out of my left eye after surgery. After he told me my eye was scratched he pretty much left the room and the meeting was over. He said I should go back to my other eye doctor, in a week. His office runs like a production mill without a lot of contact. I would not recommend him.

Run as far away as possible. Do not go in for a consultation or for an office visit. She charged me and my insurance company $542 for a 5 minute conversation. Highway robbery!
