I could not be happier with Dr. Wegman and his staff. Once the decision was made to do a hip replacement, I was given instructions on how to prepare and what to expect. The staff had a quick response to all my questions. They were kind and considerate. Dr. Wegman was informative and reassuring before and after the surgery. After I returned home he called to hear how everything was going and to ask if I had any questions. I need the second hip done as well and have already scheduled it with De. Wegman.
Dr. Wegman was patient, empathic, and kind in treating my wife’s knee injury. He didn’t push surgery and talked through our options for treatment. As a former patient with other doctors in the practice, Dr Wegman is a great doctor in a great practice. Highly recommend.
I saw Dr. Wegman this morning for knee pain. He was very pleasant, kind, and knowledgeable. I’m happy to have found him!
For the past few years, I have been to a few different surgeons. From my very 1st x-ray 3 years ago, I was told I needed a new hip....at 40 years old! The spherical art of my joint was already rubbed flat and I was bone on bone then. I was consistently asked if I had any trauma to my hip, did I play sports as a kid, etc...which none of those are the case. For some unknown reasons, even seeing no cartilage in my x-rays, these previous docs sent me for injections, PT, 2nd opinions...nothing worked! I am a mother of an autistic... read more
if only there was a rating less than one. Dr. Wegman is a good surgeon- technically speaking. But heaven help you if you have a problem because his bedside manner is less than non-existent. He is brisk, and arrogant. His unwillingness to listen to the patient OR the nurses resulted in my enduring far more pain than was necessary. The pre-op appt failed to register a drug interaction that impeded the efficacy of opioids (which later registered in the home health system).
