Seven years ago I had my left hip replaced by a different doctor and at a different hospital. It was a hospital acquired infection, they removed the hip replacement a week later, cleaned it out, and put another one back in, followed by months of heavy antibiotic infusions. It was a total disaster. You can imagine my level of concern when my right hip started failing. I knew I wanted to go to a new hospital for this one.
