Think he is one of the best I have been to. He really understand that it is not easy to go to psychiatrist. Very personable, and kind. Not at all "shrinky".
He prescribed a toxic cocktail of medications (benzodiazepine, barbiturate, amphetamine, all for daytime use), that our psychotic son, who was noncompliant with his antipsychotic medication & delusional, could no longer safely manage. He demonized the family ("I was trying to build trust with my patient"), sharing our reports of symptoms, increasing his paranoia & destroying his trust for us. He refused to order hospitalization, which contributed to our son's death at 31.
Dr. Eddy is a sympathetic listener and completely nonjudgmental. makes the patient comfortable. Most shrinks are creepy, but you will have a friendly experience.
Dr. Eddy is a pretty cool guy with whom I found it very easy to get comfortable. He has excellent active listening skills and is sincerely empathic.
