Dr. Blessinger agreed to treat me without surgery, with a caveat, of course, which is unless it becomes necessary. I feel like I was tricked into surgery when my weekly X-ray showed that my tibia was beginning to drift away from my fibula. He cleverly let the x-ray alarm me so that he could convince me that surgery was necessary. He attached a plate to my fibula. The screws did not extend into the tibia and did not stabilize the tibia.
