UPDATE – JANUARY 3, 2025 We finally had another AC contractor look at our system in March, 2024. He was surprised to see the unit installed in a space that was too small to allow it to work efficiently. It cost us $3,600 to have the system moved to a proper location, have the ductwork replaced and strapped up off the insulation to stop the condensation problem. We had a heat pump AC system installed by BRG Air Systems in June/July of 2021. Two years prior we had done a major home renovation and had new ceilings throughout the house. A few months after installation of the AC system we discovered leaks in the ceiling in the kitchen. My husband tracked it down to extreme condensation from the air ducts and called BRG to investigate.
