Stay away from any place the guy who ran this opens. He is incredibly dishonest and unscrupulous. He took $300 from me for a gift certificate knowing they were going to close. I even asked about it because I knew the gift would jot be used for a month. THIEF! Absolutely one of the worst people in business. He opens and closes repeatedly! All he had to d us change locations, make a minor name change, and/or claim he hadnew investors! SCUM!

Good food, good beer, good times – I went to dinner here last night. My wife ordered the shrimp Po' boy, and i got the prime rib sandwich, and we ordered side salads. Our dinners came out before our salads, and with out us even saying anything, the manager came up and said he was sorry, and that our drinks would be on the house. Awesome service, we will be back for sure.

The Chef is a Genius! Food is Epic! – I stayed over in Sacramento to be close to the airport and followed my nose to this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the diverse menu selection. The Chef has created an award winning menu and I truly wanted one of everything. First, the onion rings are the best I have ever had! It is rare to see 4 star food selections in a brewery setting and you definitely get exquisite meals at very fair prices. The beer is pretty good but the food, like I said before, is EPIC. Thanks for the ... read more

Take-out orders always wrong!!!! – Why do you guys ALWAYS mess up our order? We believe in 2nd chances...we have been nice enough to give you a 3rd...even a 4th and 5th chance...and still-its ALWAYS WRONG...We live in the immediate area, we like to support local restaurants, and we are big fans of some of the menu items you guys have, (like the burgers, fries, the ahi tuna salad), but every time we order from you, there is something wrong. Do you not like us? Is this revenge???? I just dont understand how we get our order wr... read more

Sad and Disappointing Evening – What happened to this place? I use to come here all the time because of the great food and service. I was here the other night and the food was horrible! None of the same great bartenders were there which was a shame because the new ones couldn't make a drink right for the life of them. How sad.

Business response:

Sorry that we under-performed back in April, but our bar staff still has at least 2 years with us. As a regular customer, you gotta know that if something is not right you just have to let me know and we'll do whatever is needed to fix the situation. We're getting better feedback on our staff, food and brews now than ever before, so I'm hoping that you can contact me directly & we'll put your one bad experience where it belongs - in the past! Thanks! Mike Costello, m.costello@brewitup.com

St. Patty's Day – This year I decided to take part in the tour of pubs with brew it up (their annual pub crawl) and i couldn't tell you a more fun experience I've ever had on St. Patricks Day. Im from folsom so i dont go to brew it up very often but, let me tell you, they can throw a party!!! We drove around downtown on a couple different buses heading to 5 different bars (i think, I might've had a drink or two) The two tour guides we had were great. They let us party on the bus but managed to keep us under control and respo... read more

Business response:

St. Patty's Day this year was on a Monday, and we made a point to plan a party that would be the best yet!! Thanks for being a part of it this year, and you can be sure that we'll do it again in 2009. Just to get you through to 3/17/09... we'll have our annual Oktoberfest Party on 10/4/08 - lot's of good times with music, beer, food & fun!

Don't eat the food – Brew it up WAS my favorite brewpub in the area for both beer and food until recently (I was even one of the few growler club members). This ended on my last trip when a live insect (citysearch lists the type of insect as an inappropriate word...it is the typical insect you find in unclean restaurants) was served with my wife?s dinner.

Business response:

i can see why you may not come back, but as a regular customer you know that we've been running a clean operation for years. the insect thing was as much a shock to us as you... seriously. the one "insect" in the front of the house in 5 years is one too many, i'm with you there. it won't happen again.

LOUSY, DISSAPOINTING FOOD – Although 2 of us in party have extensive past and present food backgrounds, "we are easy to please, not picky and "OBJECTIVE." We started with shared appetizer of "fried brussel sprouts", soaggy, swimming in oil. The "fall off the bone tender ribs" tasted boiled and you had to fight with your fork, knife and teeth to TEAR off the bone. "Brined" pork loin also tasted boiled, blah and polenta dry and old tasting. Brining should infuse flavor!! Crab cake and portabella mushroom sandwich a bit better ... read more

Business response:

Well... that review hurts. It cuts pretty deep when so much of what should have been an enjoyable meal obviously didn't go well. This diner ordered, and should have enjoyed, some of our most popular items. If it was all really that bad, then they deserve to be indignant. I'm guessing we had an off day - not an excuse, but it happens. I'd have loved to have been in a position to receive their complaint during the meal, so we could take care of it then. With 22 beers on tap - all different and made fresh onsite, I don't expect... read more

Superb food, stellar wait staff – It's a brewpub but it's classy and professional-looking - not like those dank hole in the wall places in Portland (where I used to live). The food was superb; my dining companions and I enjoyed everything we touched. The drink menu is great; the wait staff was stellar and attentive, and all-in-all, it was a great experience. By the way - you have to get the tempura brussels sprouts from the appetizer menu - this would make any kid eat his veggies!
