Dr Kockentiet has treated 3 different Basal Cell Carcinoma for me. His ability to remove the lesion and reconstruct the area is incredible. You can imagine when you have to create a hole and then repair the area, it is a challenge. I wouldn't trust anyone else at this point. Oh, always wear sunscreen. Don't forget your ears and neck!

I made an appointment with Dr. Kockentiet because my primary care physician recommended evaluation by a dermatology specialist. When I arrived, I was escorted to the exam room, given a gown and told to wait. Without any prior notice, I learned next that the doctor would not be seeing me and I would be seeing only a physician assistant accompanied the entire time by someone else taking notes and photos with an iPad. I had an under the skin cyst removed and biopsied from my jaw line. Before the surgery, the cyst looked like a fresh colored mole.. 1/8" diameter. ... After the surgery... I now have two 1/8" diameter flesh colored bumps. In my opinion the doctor didn't create a large enough incision to balance the depth of the removed cyst resulting in a pucker at the beginning and the end of the incision line. I will be making an appointment to see if anything can be done, but I'm not optimistic.
