My husband recently had cataract surgery on both eyes, and we were so lucky to have found Dr Shapiro. He is a very talented doctor and a fun guy too. He explained everything about the surgery in great detail and answered all of our questions, and listened to everything we said. His team of assistants are like a happy family working together. Dr. Shapiro gave me a brand new lease on life with my new eyesight! Surgery was quick, easy, and very successful! Dr. Shapiro doesn’t have the usual ‘Doctor attitude’. He is warm, friendly, and smart with a little rascal in him which makes him very positive and enjoys giving better eyesight to his patients. I enjoy my visits with him since he’s always upbeat and likes to laugh with his patients as well as really cares about them. Mahalo, Dr Shapiro!
He walked in and said he didn’t remember the last time he washed his hands, then proceeded to examine me without gloves on, touching my eyelids with unwashed hands. I woke up this morning with both eyes itchy and crusted over. I think he gave me an eye infection. He also made a sexist joke that he later apologized for. I will be looking for a new eye doctor.
