Our last day in the Quarter and we were fortunate to brunch at Brennan's Restaurant. The words "excellent" and "amazing" or even "decadent" don't seem sufficient to describe our meal. I choose the scrambled duck eggs with shaved black truffle, it was sublime. We split char broiled oysters and a baked apple. We left feeling stuffed but sated. Our waiters were attentive and personable. I would go back just for the amazing service alone. Thank you for an excellent experience.
It was a near perfect meal! Everything was delicious - the roasted oysters were AMAZING! Our party also had the baked apple, seafood gumbo, grilled grapefruit and shrimp remaloude for starters - all delicious! Next, one of us had the crawfish omelet (very good) and the remainder had the Eggs Hussarde. The Marchand de Vin sauce recipe seems to have changed, but still delicious! Magical... bubbly cocktails (not too sweet) in the bar, followed by a delicious meal in their private and lush outdoor courtyard. Service was fantastic.
I made a reservation a week in advance, so no wait...the eggs Benedict was amazing and of course the bananas foster table side was fun to watch and sooo good! even though our waiter dropped a banana ooops...oh well i told him, i work in a restaurant stuff happens. will definitely be back next year.
