Dr Shen is a very thorough doctor and spends time with me to go over all aspects of my health. She orders the necessary tests and explains the pros and cons of her suggestions. She follows evidence base medicine and does not over orders tests that are not recommended. I have just established care with her in the past year. I appreciate her expertise a lot. She is very kind and understanding as well. She is an excellent listener. She guides me through processes and is very responsive to my questions and concerns.
I have been seeing Dr. Shen for several years and loved her in the beginning. She was patient and thorough and had a wealth of knowledge. This year that all changed, my visit was rushed - she failed to conduct a breast exam, which is a normal part of a wellness check at my age. She also failed to conduct a pelvic exam even though I have a history of fibroids. Dr Shen has been my primary care physician since I moved to the South Bay Area. She has outstanding bedside manner and is extremely knowledgeable on all medical needs. The staff sometimes drops the ball but the doctor is great. Highly recommend.
