I live and travel all over for work in AK, and the Breeze Inn is truly one of my favorites. While prices in Seward can be high, the Breeze offers great value for its location, consistency, and service. The rooms are always clean, the staff is attentive and kind, and I appreciate that they provide toiletries in singles rather than dispensers. One of the highest ratings you can give a small hotel is CLEANLINESS. The Breeze Inn gets 5 stars for that! Even the corners of the bathroom (you know the women always look) were tidy. The room was spacious, the curtains made the room completely dark at night (much needed), and the location is fantastic. The restaurant served good food and our server was very pleasant (in the middle of the evening rush, the place was packed). Shuttle service was a nice bonus! I hope we get to go back to Alaska some day :)

This place was survivable for a 1 night stay, but barely. We had considered just eating the cost and returning to Anchorage a night early instead of staying here. The location is good if you’re going out on the boat and things like the bed and shower were fine. But the odor of this room was awful, I don’t even know how to explain it other than decades of bad odor absorbing into every surface that smacks you as soon as you walk in the door.
