I had nipple damage and trouble latching my baby whilst admitted at the hospital, and was recommended to stop feeding on that boob for 24 hrs .A midwife had put in an order for me to see an LC which never got fulfilled. 5 days after I was visited by KEMH midwife whilst at home, baby was losing weight, dehydrated and the pump i purchased did not seem to work... I had the privilege of seeing my Lactation Consultant, Emma Carter, I can't thank her enough for all her guidance and care throughout my breastfeeding journey. It wasn’t an easy path—I experienced nipple trauma several times and even had mastitis twice. However, Emma's patience, kindness, and understanding of what I had been through made all the difference. Thanks to her constant encouragement, I was able to continue breastfeeding my baby. She is amazing, and I'm so grateful for all the support she provided. Thank you so muc... read more

I am incredibly grateful to Sharon for her unwavering support during the last two months of my breastfeeding journey. She was a true pillar of strength during a challenging time, offering care, patience, and empathy. Her encouragement helped me gain confidence in myself and my baby’s growth. I can’t thank her enough for everything she has done!

I have had such an amazing experience with the IBCLC’s at the breastfeeding centre, I am beyond grateful for their support. We had a very rough start to our breastfeeding journey, with my son having a high palate and struggling to feed from the breast. Eve and Emma-Louise have been incredible help and such a wealth of knowledge. Emma-Louise is such a warm soul and tackled our issues from all angles, helping with pumping, pain, healing and latching. Couldn’t recommend more!

After a very turbulent start to our breastfeeding journey, my wife and I decided to visit here, which actually ended up being the best decision. We would love to extend our appreciation and sincere thanks to our Lactation Consultant Shaughn, who had tremendously helped us to breastfeed our baby. Her hospitality, expertise and strategies have given us the full confidence to continue trying, as we feel much more capable and ready. Shaughn's approach is very understanding and welcoming of different needs. She is an outstanding ... read more
