I just wanted to say what a positive experience I had on Wednesday, it was my first screening (now I have reached that age) and I cant praise the young lady that looked after me with my appointment highly enough! She was extremely polite and patient with me (and was able to put up with me and my terrible nervous jokes and comments lol) and above all she was extremely professional and kind and made an experience I was dreading that much easier. Excellent care from start to finish. Was seen, investigated and out of the clinic within 40 minutes. Everything explained fully with care and compassion. After recently had a poor unrelated NHS experience, my fairh was restored by these dedicated, lovely staff. Thank you x
This is a very personal experience, how ever I wanted to describe my experience here. All the nurses and doctors there are lovely and kind. Very welcoming and reassuring. The receptionists are lovely to.
Attended a follow up appointment at City hospital, from walking through the door I was looked after so well by the team seeing six professionals during the appointment. At all stages all was explained to me and time was not rushed so I felt I could ask questions. I took a funny turn after one of my procedures, the staff were amazing during this time, even fetching a fan. Nobody wants to receive the recall letter but I can honestly say trust the staff, they are lovely and have you at the heart of what they do.
I've been calling the breast screening unit for the past 2 weeks to rearrange my appointment but from early morning to afternoon the recorded message is they are dealing with an high volume of calls, I'm not sure how when they never answer the phone for it to be busy, the email address in the recorded message isn't correct so unless I travel there which I can't at the moment no way of letting them know I won't be at my appointment.
