I called before 5:00 to see if the referral had been received. I finally got a hold of a live person vs a machine, and I was immediately directed back to the phone options. I called back and got the answering service which someone answered but was unable to help me. Since I called within business hours, I wasn't able to get the help I needed and this is unacceptable, not just for me but for anyone who calls and needs help. I'm very disappointed! I needed to change an appointment for breast exam and no one ever answered the phone to do so. They want to charge people for no call no show but how are you supposed to call when they don’t answer. Very unprofessional. Then it sent me to the survey like they answered the call but never did!!! So here is my proof I tried to call before my appointment to reschedule since I woke up sick today! Better not try to charge me!
Although I'm grateful for my health insurance - which my husband pays a lot for and affectionately calls Death Plan of Nevada, a part of Optum “care”- I couldn’t be more disappointed in how their process works and the quality of treatment from Optum Cancer Center on Charleston.
