I have been members here for about 4 months and this gym has a fantastic professor and coaches. Respect is the name of the game at this gym with newcomers always receiving a warm welcome. From day one I was made to feel like part of the team. This has turned into a place that I love to go.
I was in town from the East Coast and Professor Michael graciously offered to let me train at BJJ of Tacoma. I took a no-Gi class with Coach Danny and had a blast. I benefited from the instruction and I appreciated the team-first environment. It goes to show: No matter where you travel in the country, Jiu-Jitsu people are good people.
I came in from out of town and was looking for a place to train while visiting. These guys opened their doors and shared the mats as if I've been training there. Great group to train with. If you are in the Tacoma area I suggest this place.
