Editorial fromAs an alternative to its frenzied, family-filled all-day cafes, any major urban museum is likely to house a quieter, eminently civilized eatery these days as well; Bravo fits the mold for the Museum of Fine Arts. Warm-toned and warmly lit,…

A treat for your palate and your soul! – Imagine eating creative and delicious food, enjoying an elegant but unstuffy atmosphere, being able to hear your dinner companions while sitting within reach of some of the most cherished art treasures in the world! If you think this description sounds too good to be true, then you haven't dined at Bravo, in the Museum of Fine Arts. Bravo is the perfect place for both a romantic dinner or for a gathering of friends. or colleagues. The entire staff, from the waiters to the Director of ... read more
This restaurant is open only wed, thurs and Fri evenings so plan ahead – This is a superb restaurant although pricey. It is the kind of restaurant that is sophistocated and friendly all at the same time. The wait staff is very professional and helpful in making choices in the menu and extensive wine list. The piano player plays a tasty selection of songs but it does not intrude on your conversation. This is one of those rare restaurants where you can have a conversation. It is an ideal place for a romantic evening or a birth... read more
Great atmosphere, better food – I was visiting the MFA recently and came accross the Bravo Restaurant. I didn't even know that they had a restaurant in the MFA. I must say I found the dinner fabulous and the service to be among the best in Boston. The atmosphere was very cozy and my partner and I just sat back and enjoyed a wonderful evening. It seems strange to find out after all of these years that there was a hidden gem among all the works of art....an it turned out to be the restaurant.
A Real Find! – This gem is located INSIDE the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. I didn't even know that it was there until my girlfirend and I walked in. They've got a full bar, terrace dining, a GREAT wine list and live jazz every night that they're open. It's a sophisticated, condensed New American Menu with beautiful plates (not surprising in the museum, eh?). They've got cocktails themed to the exhibits currently in the museum and I found out that they serve a jazz brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. What we thought was the ve... read more
Bravo is a must visit! – First of all it is located inside the MFA so that makes it the perfect date place. Also the view of the courtyard from the tables is really romantic during dinner or week-end brunch. Bring your squeeze there and you are sure to get lucky - I always have! The food is really, really good - especially for a musuem and the drinks are sensational. The service is outstanding and it feels really cool to be eating in a museum. Sure it would be nice if parking was easier but if you search you find a space and... read more
Classy museum restaurant boasts exemplary modern American fare, plus an evolving art exhibit. – The Scene This second-floor restaurant earns its laudatory name by way of a stylish indoor seating area and an exceptionally eclectic menu. Lunchtime patrons are mostly museum visitors taking a well-deserved break, while dinner hours find area executives (and lovebirds) enjoying a live pianist and sampling the bar's specialty cocktails and adventurous wine list. The sharp, orange-red dining room, which features an ever-changing se... read more
Great Food!! – I went there for the first time and found the food to be excellent. I had the crab cakes and my girlfriend had the lobster sandwich. Though a bit expensive, the quality was as good as any restaurant anywhere. I will definitley recommend going. Make sure to make reservations in advance!
