Very skilled psychotherapist. As a family medicine doctor, I found her from a patient who loved her, visited with her myself for several sessions and have sent countless patients to her with fantastic outcomes. She is especially skilled with treating phobias (like fear of blood draws, air travel, highway travel). Highly recommend!
I saw Dr. Leyva once and had to see another therapist multiple times to process what she did to me in the one session. Do not go to her. She does not listen to what you say, is super quick to tell you "what's wrong with you," and is incredibly judgmental. She does not create a safe space which is essential to therapy.
