I wouldn’t recommend sending ANYONE here, I honestly kind of want to sue. Nobody listened to me and they kept me locked up despite being voluntary and having a very good need to leave. You cant see out any windows, the place is worn down, you need permission to use the restroom or eat, doctors are all on zoom and don’t even listen. just really unpleasant. I recently was discharged from the Brattleboro retreat. I am leaving a one star review SPECIFICALLY about Dr. Zucker. He is a psychiatrist at the retreat. On our first video chat he was extremely rude and disrespectful. I asked to see a different psychiatrist and was denied. He is a very cold emotionless man who I believe is only there for financial gain. After talking to many patients AND STAFF, this seems to be a common occurrence for him. I went there twice as a teenager It was not only creepy but the staff and clients were rude and disrespectful and staff did nothing to help… I remember getting thrown in rooms, watched shower to make sure I didn’t do anything to harm myself, and when my mom visited finally she refused to hug me even look at me because she saw me. As bad person and that I did it on purpose. They turned my family against me.
