We met with this firm, agreed on services they felt comfortable doing, set a calendar and scope, gave them access to our QB account. Called in Feb 2023 to close the books and was told they were "swamped" and to find someone else.I'm a CPA and pretty sure that's not exemplary professional treatment.
I was in the difficult and nerve-racking position of finding a new CPA after our CPA of many years retired. All the questions. Would someone competent be able to take on a new client? This was our first year using Branstetter accounting services. I am very pleased with the results. Lauren Bellomo was extremely professional, very knowledgeable and had our return completed in a timely manner. We will be using her for all our tax and business needs in the future. I highly recommend her company.
The owner, Tammy Schmidt, told my mother that she would easily serve as her executor/personal representative. COMPLETE LIE. Despite charging the estate for her own time, she also hired and charged for a lawyer, Gloria North. Ineptitude all around. Improperly filed court documents, incorrect initial estate accounting, continual delays, and virtually zero communication with the only two heirs (along with a not-so-nice reminder that any time we communicated with her, it would cost the estate more).
