We went to Castellan De Amorosa, they recommended Brannans... Great food, and service!
Tha atmosphere is warm and comfortable, and the service excellent. We loved the cioppino and the salmon Cobb salad
Great atmosphere, promt and friendly service, amazing food and delicious cocktails...it was the perfect place for an evening out with my husband
Beautiful decor & comfortable seating. Lunch selections were very good (as was the food). Afternoon cocktails were excellent and delivered by the friendly bartender. Cocktail service a bit slow but worth the wait. Looking forward to my next visit�
The staff was very nice but the service was crazy slow. We had a 7:15pm reservation and did not receive our meal until close to 9pm. It was kind of ridiculous. Fortunately we were enjoying the atmosphere and each other's company but none of us expected to or wanted to eat that late. The good was good but not worth the wait. The only dish that was raved about was the duck. The salmon was undercooked and we had to wait longer for that to be redone. We've been vacationing in Calistoga for over 15 years and are disappointed in Brannans. We used to be able to get meats that weren't available elsewhere - exotic types. Now the menu is pedestrian. Might also mention that we had to teach the bartender how to make our cocktail - Rob Roy. Probably not going back next year. They seem to have lost their focus. I say either move into the grass fed arena or head back to the exotic meats. They're flailing in the middle ground.
