First time patient=BAD IDEA! Completed my initial patient paperwork, then I get hit with okay your total today is $45, ($30 for risk assessment & documents, $15 for infection control) my insurance was verified when I made my appointment weeks prior. I’m only coming in for X-rays and a cleaning. Don’t want to seem cheap and confrontational so I pay before I even receive service. Extremely disappointed with this office’s lack of transparency. As a new patient calling to set up an appointment , I was told I would owe $75 before even being evaluated and was told my insurance would not cover the visit. After reviewing my insurance benefits, my listed copay was $0. When I questioned the charge, I did not receive a clear explanation and was simply told the office charges were different. Beware of unnecessary charges and lack of transparency I reached out to Dr. Brandy Opal’s office about two weeks ago to schedule my first visit. My appointment was for Monday, October 13th, but the business day before (Friday, October 10th), I received a call saying there would be a $45 charge at my appointment.
