RecommendedStaff is very friendly. Dr Houk sits and listens to your concerns and not in a hurry to push you out the door.
RecommendedI will have to say that the level of care at this office is second to none. The day Dr Houk got the results of my cat scan it showed I had kidney cancer. He personally called The Brown Cancer Center right away and got me in to the cancer team and surgeon quickly. I know for a fact that God, his sense of urgency and his genuine care for my health is the reason it was caught early. Because of the early detection on the cancer I was able in a short time to have surgery and it had not spread. I will forever be grateful for that.
Perfect example of a physician and office that believes the doctor's time is much more valuable than the patient's time. I was a patient of Dr. Houk's and have waited well over an hour for him on a number of occasions because of overbooking patients. The one time I had to cancel an appointment because my mother was taken to HMH by ambulance I was rudely told I'd have to pay $20.00 for calling and cancelling my appointment and then the rude, staff member hung up the phone. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Houk and his staff. I just saw a number on the scale that I haven't seen in over 15 years. I'm so happy I'm crying.
Brandon Houk help was my doctor for about eight years. I really hated losing him as a doctor. Very up-to-date on procedure and spot on with diagnosis. Thank you for everything you did for me.
