It was like it shut down for the weekend! Minimal services. My dad had a botched operation and a reaction to a test that flatlined him. Maybe not the hospital's fault but they couldn't repair the bad pacemaker for over 2 days because they couldn't get a "crew together". So, after all that, he had to wait. Some nice people. Some, not so nice. Good cafeteria, though.
My 14mo old started having trouble breathing in the middle of the night. GV was the closest hospital. Had a great experience with Dr Chris Mays (has pediatric experience at Thunderbird hospital) and RN Mark. Really felt well taken care of!

Nice and new. Every room is a private setting. I had a nice view of the mountains. My own bathroom. Nurses were great. Food not bad. Professional and personal. TV so I'm not bored. All staff friendly.
I hesitated to come to this Hospital because of the bad reviews I read. But don't believe everything you read! ER staff was friendly. I ended up getting admitted cause of chest pains and THAT took long getting a room. But other than that, the staff and doctors were really great! Very friendly and informative. They made sure all tests were done to make sure I left knowing all was okay. The food was even good! Rooms very clean, Hospital very clean.
Absolutely the best emergency room care I have seen in ages. I am an ER nurse in NY visiting and my husband because Ill with chest pain. In ten minutes, IV, EKG, labs CXR done and doctor in the room. Professional, kind, competent staff from nurses and doctors to registration and X-rays. Job well done by all. If we move to AZ we will definitely come here for care.
We were so excited when we heard GV would have a hospital. Today, we used the ER. My mother had come before via ambulance and said the staff was excellent. Unfortunately, the staff must have been different today. We were promptly checked in and were seen by the triage nurse within 10 minutes. SHE was awesome (Lois?)! Took awhile for the NP or PA, Scott to see us. He said he'd get something for my son's pain and get some x-rays. Mind you, my son is literally moaning and crying out from the pain. They were great. Pleasant and quick and thorough. Considering I had a broken bones in my foot, they were quick and did a great job. Thanks!
