I had a frustrating experience with this dermatologist. Despite having no history of skin cancer or suspicious moles, I was scheduled for full-body skin checks every six months. I used to see another doctor in the practice who has since left, probably for good reason. I want to believe Dr. Brand used to be the caring, compassionate, knowledgeable doctor that everyone wants. One thing she sure does have is efficiency - she will efficiently skip over your concerns, give you a quick 30 second schpiel, throw in a personal, irrelevant question or two to make it seem like she cares, and turn around to walk out of the room before you've even asked a single question. Avoid Murray Hill Dermatology and Dr. Rena Brand at all costs! Visited multiple times after being referred and had the worst experience, extremely rude office staff and a run-down office. Office staff ignores patients who approach the desk and then harasses them loudly about their bills or payments with no discretion (makes for a very uncomfortable vibe in the waiting room). When I finally found a new dermatologist, I realized that Dr. Brand did not share the serious side-effects of what she prescribed.
Unprofessional, inexpert and unkind. Gouged a hole in my face and left me with a big scar forever. Stay away!

Stay away! Ms. Brand and her staff is completely incompetent. You are likely to receive better medical help from the cashier at your nearest corner deli than from Ms. Brand and her staff.
Dr. Brand has a busy practice due to her popularity, reflecting her skill and knowledge. It?s easy to schedule appointments, but waiting can take a while. This reflects the demand for her services and that patients may need time to address their medical condition. However, Dr. Brand is efficient and doesn?t waste time. Due to her wealth of knowledge and experience, she can assess and take care of medical matters quickly. The smart patient brings a list of concerns/issues to present.
