It was a bumpy start but so glad I redirected my concerns to Dr. Barbara. Initially, the receptionist was terrible. No people skills at all. I think they have a new one. After I got past that one person, everything has been exceptional.
I had a really unfortunate experience attempting to work with this company. Intake paperwork wasn't sent until I sent a reminder. Once I received intake paperwork detailing the time of the appointment. I waited for 10 minutes with no communication and no therapist showing up. When I called the main line, I was met with defensiveness in regards to the time from the owner when it was written very clear in the initial email. I came in for an initial appointment in hopes of being paired with a counselor/therapist. I filled out a lot of paperwork and answered a lot of questions about my trauma/abuse history with a person who I think had nearly completed her PhD at the time. It was uncomfortable to share a lot of personal information with someone I just met, especially if they weren’t sure I would be matched with them.
