I just got a car from a family member a few months ago. Recently, I started hearing a grinding noise when I would brake. My brake pads had worn out. I went in and they told me the brake pads were going to be $500 almost and I literally lost my breath and asked them why it was so much. I told them to their face that that was insane, so they were well aware that it was way above what I wanted to spend but they said I NEEDED both brake pads and rotors resurfaced as well as a brake flush.
