Holiday weekend! Family packed to leave state! Rear brake light and turn signal went out! Call BrakesPlus Fillmore and was told to "stop by on way past". The shop was packed with work, but they took the time to serve us. A mechanic popped in a new bulb and we were on our way in under ten minutes! Will definitely return for future service. Safe holiday driving!
Was in the area and had my wife drop off her car for brake estimate. Normally just making sure you get a plausible estimate is enough to protect yourself from shady shops, but apparently not at this shop. They called and told us fronts were metal on metal, and rear were shot too. $850 to fix. I frankly didn't believe them, especially about the backs. I will never go anywhere else again. Not only do they match the competition on price, they beat them. Plus, they gave me the better brake pads for less than the other place wanted to charge me for the cheapo pads. They did my rear brakes about a year and a half ago. I went some where else for the front brakes and had to go to the guys at Brakes Plus to have them redone right. Con artists... always reccomend services not needed.
If this web site allowed negative ratings, the Brakes Plus store on S. Kipling in Littleton would get one from me. This used to be a very good shop; we took all of our family cars there for years. But, they have new management and mechanics now. Their work and integrity has gone way down. They’ve lost my trust as well as my business (and my families!). I went to Brakes Plus for a second opinion after another establishment gave me a detailed report stating I needed my rear brakes completely redone (which turned out to be false). I thought it fishy as my car is quite new; however I wanted to be safe rather than sorry. A Nightmare!!! Brad and Adam lied to me and told me the repair was complete. Another mechanic told me that the repair had NOT been completed. I had to call the district manager to get them to actually finish the repair. I was right and they still treated me like garbage. I'm never going back.
These guys are honest, straightforward, and a pleasure to work with. My husband and I have tried everything from dealerships to small locally owned shops, but the best service weâ??ve found is from Brakes Plus on West Colfax in Lakewood. I took my car to another place last week for a routine oil change and inspection (my car had 81K and it'd been a while since I had someone look at belts, fluids, etc). At the end of the day I was given a list of things that "needed" to be addressed that day totaling $3000--including all new brakes, rotors, several fluid flushes and line repairs, new belts, and a new battery.
