Knowledgeable & A+ Customer Service I had a difficult to diagnose hard pedal after replacing my front calipers, caliper brackets, brake pads, and rotors and bleeding the system myself. The most honest car repair ever – Javier is the owner of Brake Masters and several people commented while I was there about his honesty and how he saved them from unnecessary repairs recommended by other repair/service shops. One young woman had been to three previous places where they had scared the heck out of her to try to get her to commit to expensive repairs. Brake Masters Altadena is Just Great I picked this shop because i read two reviews that said the place was honest. that's all i was looking for. The woman on the phone was very kind. They took me in immediately. They had to find a very specific Lexus part, which they did, and they drove to Lexus to get the part. I realized i left something in the car that i needed and they offered to deliver it to me. They made no money on any of the parts and just charged me labor for the installation. Front end alignment – After installing a set of new tires, felt that an alignment was in order. The dealer has never been able to do this correctly but after the alignment at Brake Masters, the tracking is now spot on. The staff and manager were very courteous and friendly and they finished the job on time. The other customers at the shop seemed to be regulars and the shop had that neighborhood feel that was much appreciated.

How I came to discover this business was that I heard positive comments about this company's professionalism. The recommendations were ones that I value so I decided to give them a chance on my oil changes and brake checks. I felt that Brake Masterswas very responsive to inquiries that I had about my vehicle. Their response time to work on my vehicle was excellent. The prices were reasonable and I believed that they were honest with me.

Finding a mechanic is scary; you never know who is honest and who will rip you off. I have visited Brake Masters in 2 of their locations, and my experience was a positive one. The employees are honest and do not take advantage of customers (my own automotive knowledge is limited). They also give free brake inspections. I use them mainly for oil changes, tire rotations, etc., and find their rates to be reasonable. I wasn't blown away by Brake Masters, but I do recommend them.

Honesty at it's best – Finally a shop that tells you the truth. No more paying for services you don't need. This store tells you the truth. It's the first place I have found that actually did no rip me off. They are friendly and advice, not pressure you into what services you need or do not need. The prices are very reasonable and the job is done ion an extremely short period of time
