Kudos to staff docs and nurses for doing what they can with the resources they have. However this place needs some serious overhaul. The amount of mistakes made is unbelievable and the number of times myself and close family have been put at risk from blood infections to incorrect dosing of potent drugs is unbelievable. And if that isn't enough, be on top of your billing. I have requested a number of corrections on my bills, well into the thousands, and they are quick to send any "outstanding/challenged" bills to collections... read more
I brought my young son to Essentia health 4 times in 3 days following femur surgery due to signs of infection. One of these visits he was sent home without ever being examined and the following day an infection was found by another provider. The 4th visit!!! This doctor disappeared for 3 hours no updates, I wanted to leave to go to a different hospital and they said they couldn't allow me to take him without signing an AMA. Several years ago My father fell at his cabin and broke his hip and was transported to this hospital. He has 4 daughters and apparently we all called to check on him and the nurse was getting perturbed and said.. what do you think ...we are just a backwoods hospital. Well my gather ended up getting an infection from his surgery there and ultimately died from the complications of that infection..so yes.miss nurse...you are backwoods. .ONLY MAYO FOR EVERYTHING
This is the best hospital / emergency room I've ever been to and I thank all of the staff for being so great to me.
