I went to get my hair done twice at this shop the first I went Annette had one of her Braiders do my Senegalese and within a week my braids were sliding down and I was charged $200 and I had to take my hair down before 2 months so with the benefit of a doubt I decided to go back for my birthday in December to get kinky twist and I was charged $200 for those as well I brought in my own hair cause when I call to schedule my appointment I was told that they didn’t have the hair so Annette put me in her chair and made all my kin... read more

I dont even know where to start with this review. My daughters sweet 16 birthday was ruined because of the emotions she had after her hair was done by this shop. To start, they advertise sew-in closure in which one would think they know how to place a closure. I understand bleaching & plucking would not take place due to the cost of service, but I did expect for her closure to be added properly. She left the shop exactly how the photos are shown. I visited Braids by Annette on October 12th at 9am for medium box braids and, unfortunately, I’m incredibly frustrated with the outcome. I have a cropped natural hair style so my hair is shorter in the back. Prior to making the appointment, I sent the phone number provided on the Booksy booking app a text message with the picture of the back of my head asking if it the length of my hair would pose an issue for the style I wanted- I was told it was no problem at all.
