Pros- As far as actual surgeons go- he is the best in the business. Clean cuts. Minimal scarring. Excellent results. I have zero complaints regarding his actual work. I couldn’t ask for better results from my extended tummy tuck. Excellent work. Cons- 1. Because he is so good, he is not fast. You will wait a significant amount of time for an appt. Dr. Wilhelmi is a great doctor. After having breast cancer he made me feel there was hope. He did an amazing job with my reconstruction, I am very pleased.
Dr. Wilhelmi is a very skilled plastic and reconstructive surgeon. I had excess skin after losing 247 lbs that affected my quality of life. He completed my tummy tuck surgery and the results were phenomenal! I had zero complications and he or his staff were readily available to answer questions. He goes above and beyond! UofL standard care is poor. I wanted to be a C cup after learning I was BRCA2 positive & recommended to Dr. Wilhelmi. We agreed on implants of 700cc with what I thought was alittle 'wiggle' room. NO I was manipulated to 1000ccs in each breast. Lied in mychart stating I said he could put what fit!!! I would of NEVER AGREED TO 1000ccs.I chose to remove the implants after laying in the hospital for 4 days with swelling above left implant. I had the best experience with him an his office staff. I’m very satisfied with the outcome of my breast reduction.
I chose Dr. Wilhelmi for my breast reconstruction back in 2020. He was always late - think minimum 2 hours late for appointments. Day of my reconstruction surgery, nobody could find him - he was late too. It was so bad that the nurses and even the anesthesiologist was making jokes as it seems this is a normal practice of his.
He is just an awesome doctor - Remembered me from a couple of years ago when I last saw him.
Took 9 months to get an appt. The day finally came and I sat in the office for a couple hours. He was 1.5 hours late and his staff had no idea where he was. No communication at all. Some king of communication would have been nice.
Dr Wilhelmi is a very talented surgeon. He explains everything well and is caring and professional. His office staff is very kind and always called me back when I had questions or concerns. I highly recommend him to anyone needing surgery. I thank God for him every day! With the life changing results I have had, I would do it all over again!
