I companioned my sister for her radiation oncology consultation with Dr Koffman. My sister is not versed in medical language or procedures, and as with most folks newly diagnosed with cancer, panic and terror tend to obscure and distract what their oncology team is explaining about their treatment. Dr. Koffman and his staff go above and beyond and are genuinely concerned and care for their patients needs and wellbeing.
I went with my mom to her first visit with Dr. Koffman today and I was quite impressed with his personal manner and the time he took to answer our questions. He wasn't rushed and entirely present throughout the visit. I left feeling that we had the information we needed to make the best decision for her circumstances and I'm comfortable my mom will be in good hands.
Dr. Koffman is straightforward in his approach and I am grateful that I was referred to him and his team of skilled professionals. The three treatments of painless cyberknife surgery has reduced the size of my lung cancer nodule by 50% so far. Everyone at Menorah has been outstanding, too. I'm not cured, but the outlook is positive!
