I came to SKH expecting to pay a reasonable fee for the peace of mind of knowing that I would be able to say "Please, you deal with this" if I needed to. I knew that I would not be pushed around by opposing attorneys or their client. And I was not. I believe that the reputation of this firm precludes that sort of behavior in most cases. SKH has a well deserved reputation for being "tough" for their clients, if you want to stick it to your significant other, these are the guns you need. In-famous within the Regional Legal and Jurisprudence community as being hard ball ( or ridiculous ) they can be a great asset, This is NOT an firm where an Associate Attorney or Legal Assistant should find themselves employed in, and SKH is a death zone for Legal Staff. File churning and bridge burning leaves you yearning for a lawyer less focused on earning. Be prepared to lose everything and then be sued for outrageous fees. 5, 4, 3 seconds until Jody has this review deleted by threatening to sue Citysearch.

For 20 years I recommended this firm to friends and family and then I needed it! Upon meeting Tate Justesen at my initial consultation I knew that I was going to be in good hands. Tate and the crew at Stahancyk, Kent & Hook did a thorough and successful job of defending me against a frivolous domestic partnership suit. Tate is formidable in the courtroom. Not cheap, but worth it.

Jody Stahancyk is a formidable foe, but an amazing, astute, brilliant woman. She put my mind at ease, and as I also used Michelle Prosser at this firm, I got to see another incredible, responsive and bright attorney. I was divorced to record time, in part because of the advantage I gained by having Jody on my team.

This firm is amazing. Sarah Denner, Brad Miller, Jodi Stahancyk and their legal assistant Linda Moore are kind, thorough, smart, ever-available, patient, ethical and supportive. Given that divorce is inherently gut-and soul-wrenching, you need lawyers like these to get you through.
