Dr. Bivens has been a great doctor for me. Very caring and thorough. Many complaints seem to be about the amount of time it takes to see him, and those complaints are valid. When you are good, you have a lot of people wanting to be your patient. I don't know what the answer is to this problem, but for me it is worth the wait. For critical or time sensitive issues, I use urget care or the hospital.
Where to start?!! They say they will call results.. they don’t, even if the patient is in excruciating pain. The nurses don’t seem to follow the doctor’s (well , Nurse practitioner, because good luck getting in to see the actual doctor in a reasonable time frame!) orders from what I’m seeing and hearing from the Nurse Practitioner. They automatically want to prescribe antibiotics , treating the symptoms!, before even finding out what is going on. It’s your basic Henry Ford Allegiance care.
I discovered Dr. Bivens many years ago when my doctor retired. What a pleasant surprise. He has been excellent and now cares for my entire family. I know he cares about me as a person (not just another patient) and his staff expresses the same compassion as the doctor.
My family has been going to Dr Bivens Sinse he was with another practice . I wouldn't go elsewhere. Highly recommend him and his Nurse practitioners .
Dr. Bivens and the staff are great but it is impossible to get in when you are not feeling well. Did not matter how sick i was or how flexible my schedule, it would be days out before i could get in or my family. This happened every time i called...the only time i could get in was for pre-scheduled well visits done weeks in advance. Ended up having to go to the med station and pay extra money because i could never get in. Finally I had to switch primary care offices so that i was taken care of.
