Didn’t tell us they were down doctors, just said “someone will see you soon”, 13 hours later i was finally seen, just to be ignored, dismissed, and sent home with a prescription for something i don’t have. Someone else was waiting longer than me who was screaming in pain, wheelchair bound, and throwing up. Th didn’t have the courtesy to tell us they were too busy to see us, but not busy enough to see those with simple cases like broken bones

I went to the emergency department due to ongoing and worsening infection. The triage nurse did not inspect my infection and told me to go back to see my GP as their doctors cannot help me, while also giving incorrect direction to use my prescribed medicine (everyday for 2 weeks instead of use one time and repeat after one week). Which could have worsened the situation even more. I understand that ED was under high demand so I was happy to hear going back to my GP and everything wold be fine. Arrived to have my 1 year old treated for a cut on her head and was told it “would not be a long wait” Sent to the fast track area which turned into an 8+ hour wait - Told multiple times by nurse that we were “next to be seen by the doctor”, hours later again told we were still next to be seen yet other people that had just turned up were being seen before us! When I questioned this the same nurse was incredibly rude. We ended up leaving at 4am still untreated - and were told the wait was still another few hours to be seen! ... read more

My wife accidentally hit her head a few days ago, and after developing discomfort, our GP advised us to visit the emergency department for a CT scan. Although there was a long wait at each stage, the doctors and nurses were incredibly kind and reassuring. I especially want to thank the nurses Betty and Liam for their friendliness and care. We truly appreciate the support and professionalism of the entire team. Thank you for taking such good care of my wife.
