Drove past while photographing trains on the Norfolk Southern Reading Line - went in for a bite - food was great, atmosphere was delightful, service was ok, All Around A+

We came to bowers hotel for dinner and had a wonderful meal. The menu is smaller because the cook, Jason, does not use anything frozen. I got liver and onions and it was cooked to perfection. Came with smashed potatoes and snow peas that were grilled with brown butter. I had never heard of butternut squash crème brûlée, so I tried it and it was very good. It’s under new management and we were very pleased. They are in the process of adding more staff and then things will run more smoothly. We will definitely be coming back.
My family just had dinner at the “Bowers Hotel, in Bowers Pa Berks County. They are under new ownership. We spoke to one of the new co owners Joey. They are the team that also owns Palm Tavern and Whisky Girl Saloon .
